At Build A Candle we take great pride in the ingredients we use to craft our candles. Every component is carefully chosen to ensure that our products are not only high-quality and beautiful, but also safe for you and the environment. 

Rapeseed Wax:

Our candles are primarily made with rapeseed wax, a natural, renewable vegetable wax derived from the oil of the rapeseed plant. This eco-friendly wax is known for its smooth burn, excellent fragrance retention, and biodegradable properties. It's a great alternative to paraffin wax, as it’s free from harmful chemicals.

Hypoallergenic Properties:
Rapeseed wax is often described as hypoallergenic; however, as with any natural product, allergic reactions are rare but possible. Symptoms of an allergy may include skin redness, itching, swelling, or burning after direct contact. If you experience any of these symptoms, please discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional.

Fragrances:

We use premium-grade, phthalate-free fragrance oils to ensure that your candle smells just as delightful as it looks. These fragrances are carefully blended to provide a long-lasting scent throw without compromising on safety. All of our fragrance oils are paraben-free and cruelty-free.

As with any scented product, we recommend ensuring proper ventilation when burning candles, especially if you are sensitive to fragrances. Please always burn candles in accordance with the safety instructions on the label to avoid any potential irritation or discomfort.

Mica Powders:

To add a touch of color and elegance to our candles, we use mica powders. Mica is a naturally occurring mineral that is generally considered safe for cosmetic and decorative purposes. The shimmering effect of mica gives our candles a beautiful, refined finish, making them a perfect addition to any space.

We recommend performing a patch test if you have known sensitivities or allergies to plant-based products. While we prioritise the safety of our ingredients, we want you to feel confident and comfortable with your purchase.
